This is one dessert that I can't live without! I know it sounds a bit crazy, BUT I think it's so super easy to make, it's very colorful, it allows me to be creative (as no two pizzas are ever a like) & it's a daily recommended serving of fruit that's going to keep us healthy right? :)

This is so cute done in Red, White, & Blue for a 4th of July Celebration! |
So here are some photo's. I have so many pics of fruit pizzas. Fruit pizza pics coming out of my ears! This treat seems to make it into my regular rotation of my go-to sweets, especially when using up seasonal fruits, or for our Summer BBQ's and such!
Here's how to do it....In less than 10 steps.
1...Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
2...Open 1 pkg refrigerated sugar cookie dough (for easy peasy buy from your local grocery store).
-OR-make a batch of your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe.
3...On a baking sheet -OR-pizza pan place a layer of parchment paper. It prevents sticking, & ease of moving your pizza around. Trust me, you'll thank me later:)
4...Begin pressing sugar cookie dough into a large circle shape. It will end up looking like one gigantic sugar cookie.
5...Bake for about 30 min. -OR-until edges start to turn a golden brown. I like my cookie to be a little bit crispy for this recipe, so I bake for a little longer.
6...Remove from oven & let cool while you prepare filling & fruit.
7...Mix together with a handmixer one
7 oz container of marshmallow creme & one
8 oz pkg of cream cheese
Spread filling over cooled cookie crust.
* HINT: For ease of serving this is the point where you may pre-slice your pizza with a pizza roller,
so as to not destroy the beautiful toppings before serving to your guests.
8...Top with sliced fresh or canned fruits in any pattern you choose.
Some of my favorite fruits to use are the ones that don't need to be drained, that way you don't run the risk of a soggy crust.
Some suggestions are: bluberries, raspberries, fresh peaches, sliced strawberries & kiwi. Banana's are great if you add them right before serving so they don't turn mushy & brown.
You may brush top of pizza with a fruit glaze for a more professional look. These are also sold pre-made in all food stores. I personally don't think it needs this step, but feel free to message me for MY homemade recipe if you would like it!
NOW COMES THE HARD PART...waiting...patience...my dear.
9...Refrigerate or Freeze entire pizza until chilled & set. Usually 5 to 6 hours or overnight.
If taking to a family function etc. I go to my local Pizza parlor & buy new pizza boxes from them for about 25 cents a box! You can also find them online, but either way it's the perfect way to store & transport your dessert!!! Just slide the parchment paper with your fruit pizza still resting right on it into the pizza box & enjoy a slice for me!!!
