It's not Halloween until you've had one of these marshmallow flavored treats...(See recipe below). It's so easy you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry right now. |
Package them up for a super cute Visiting Teaching or Halloween Party gift! |
The Phantom Ghost is a Fall tradition in our Neighborhood. It's sooo much fun! |
Copy and paste a picture of a Ghost onto computer paper then include this cute poem. Deliver to a couple of your neighbors for a spooktacular good time!
The "Phantom Ghost" has come to town
To leave you some goodies, I see you have found.
If you do not wish a curse to fall,
Continue this greeting, this "Phantom" call.
First post this "Phantom" where it can be seen,
... And leave it there until Halloween.
This will scare other "Phantoms" who may visit,
Be sure to participate, don't be a "fis-bidget."
Second, make two treats, and two notes like this,
Deliver them to two friends who may have been missed.
Don't let them see you, be sneaky, no doubt...
And make sure they put their Phantom Ghost out!
Next, you have only ONE DAY to act, so be quick!
Leave it at doors where the "Phantom" hasn't hit.
Deliver at dark, when there is no light
Ring the doorbell, run, and stay out of sight!!!!
And last, but not least, come join in the season.
Don't worry, be happy-you need no reason.
Be cool, have fun, and remember don't be seen-
Directions for Popcorn Balls: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 3/4 c light corn syrup, 1/4 c butter, 2 tsp cold water, 2 1/2 c confectioner’s sugar, 1 c marshmallows (I use mini) Heat & stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 min more. ...Stir in~ 1 tsp of Vanilla extract, then Carefully pour the hot mixture over 5 Quarts of popped popcorn. Stir to coat each kernel. (I spray the inside of my large bowl with Pam Spray before adding popcorn & hot mixture)
Grease your hands with non-stick spray or vegetable shortening & quickly shape into baseball sized balls before it cools. Wrap each ball with cellophane or plastic wrap & store at room temperature.
Have fun! It's a great goodie for FHE.
