Looking for a quick & delicious breakfast for Cinco de Mayo? Try this! It's super easy... & when drizzled with honey it tastes a lot like a sopapilla!
Serve with fresh fruit, a cup of Mexican hot chocolate, or a tall glass of O.J. & you're set! .
Sopapilla Cake:
Spray a 9x13” baking dish
with non-stick spray.
Unroll 1 package of crescent
roll dough & press into bottom of pan.
Cream together:
2 8oz Pkgs of cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Spread over the top of
crescent roll layer.
Unroll 1 more package of
crescent roll dough & place on top of cream cheese layer.
Melt 1 stick of butter
& pour over the entire cake.
Sprinkle top with ¼ c
cinnamon sugar
Bake at 350 degrees for
30-40 minutes. Remove from oven & cool completely.
Drizzle with honey if
desired.
May add a layer of apple
pie filling for an added treat!
